We’re a proud supporter of SIA; we recognise the invaluable work they do to support everyone affected by spinal cord injury: providing key services, information and advice, and campaigning for change. That’s why we’re really pleased to be a corporate sponsor and Ruby partner this year, as well as sponsoring the Continuing Healthcare service.

At Complete Care we take great pride in the work that we do to support our clients. We’re a leading provider of nurse-led complex healthcare in the home, and work closely with the children and adults in our care to enable them to lead full and independent lives.

Since 1996, providing bespoke, person-centred care has been at the core of how we operate. Some of our first clients came to us for support following a spinal cord injury; now, with almost 20 years’ experience under our belt, we’re a specialist provider to clients with spinal related conditions.

Our vision as an organisation is quite simple; we seek to ‘enrich lives through exceptional care, inspired by a commitment to clinical excellence’. Our dedicated team of over 700 people is our greatest asset – each of them is passionate about delivering exceptional care, every day.

We know that sustaining a spinal cord injury can be life changing, but we also know that it doesn’t have to mean the end to a life lived independently at home. Working closely with our clients and the people closest to them – families, parents, and friends – we put in place the support our clients need to continue life at home after an injury, built around the lifestyle they choose.
Our approach is centred around nurse-led clinical expertise, supported by fully trained personal care assistants, who provide day-to-day complex care under nurse supervision.

The training our personal care assistants receive is second to none. All of our people undergo our industry leading, in-house five day induction course; this contributes to completion of the Care Certificate, and covers all aspects of care in the home, from clinical skills, to moving and handling, medication management, and communication and interpersonal skills.

Our nursing team follows up all initial training with further competency training specific to each of our clients, and through regular monitoring, review and training updates ensures that we are always upholding the highest standards of quality care. With their support, our personal care assistants are able to deliver specialist support for spinal injury, including: ventilator care, respiratory and gastronomy management, naso-gastric feeding, and medication administration.

We support our clients throughout their journey, from the early days of coming to terms with an injury and exploring options, through to making the transition from hospital to home, and then asserting a focus on the future, through rehabilitation and rebuilding life at home.

We place great importance on the relationships our teams build with our clients at every step along the way. Working collaboratively is central to ensuring that we can support all elements of our clients’ care. That’s why we also take the time to match our clients to a team of personal care assistants, based on shared interests and personality matching – because we know that if you’re welcoming somebody into your life and your home they’ve got to be the right fit.

Fundamentally, we’re committed to ensuring that the quality of the care we provide is of the highest standard, as standard. That means continuously improving, and engaging in open dialogue with our clients to push the boundaries of what quality means to us and our clients.

If you, or a member of your family, has been affected by spinal cord injury and would like to find out more about how we could support, please call our team on: 0333 121 5301, or email enquiries@completecare.co.uk
